Fenek (Rabbit Stew): Rabbit stew is a traditional Maltese dish and a local favorite. It is often slow-cooked with wine, garlic, onions, and herbs resulting in a delicious tender meal.
Timpana: A baked pasta dish that typically includes macaroni, minced meat, eggs, tomato sauce, and various spices. It is enclosed in a pastry crust and baked until golden brown.
Kapunata: Like the Italian caponata, kapunata is a traditional Maltese vegetable stew made with eggplants, bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, and capers. It is often seasoned with herbs and olive oil.
Maltese Platter - also known as "Platt Malti" that resembles Spanish tapas or Italian antipasto. It is a key part of Maltese culture and cuisine that includes traditional Maltese food items such as Maltese sausage, Gbejniet cheese, Bigilla, Galletti, and sundried tomatoes. All items can be found in local grocery stores.
