BLUE LAGOON

Dear visitor,

The Blue Lagoon is a popular destination in Malta known for its crystal clear turquoise blue waters and jagged cliffs. It is located on the small island of Comino, which is virtually uninhabited.

The Blue Lagoon is a natural wide pool between Comino Island and the Island of Cominotto. It is partially sandy and mostly rocky. The lagoon is famous for stunning views, sheltered and shallow waters, and the white sand at the bottom, making it one of the best swimming spots in the Mediterranean.

Visitors may spend a day relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, exploring caves, or hiking around Comino. The Blue Lagoon can get crowded, especially during the summer months, so it is recommended to arrive early. The best time to visit is in spring when the water is still about to get warm, and the color of the water and Comino Island is particularly beautiful during this period.

You may visit by taking the ferry from Cirkewwa, which has hourly trips. There are also boat tours available that allow you to explore both Gozo Island and Comino depending on the tour chosen. The most popular ones you may find right here

Bon Voyage and happy exploring!
